What the score means
A higher score means the two words are closer in meaning. Spelling does not count.
red beats yellow for strawberry, because strawberries are red.
banana beats car for orange, because both are fruit.

Does a high score mean I won?
No. A high score only means the meanings are close. Each puzzle has one official answer. A related word can score high and still not count.
Is this Wordle?
No. Wordle is a five-letter spelling puzzle with colored tiles. This is a guess-the-word game about meaning: you can try almost any word, and the feedback is a similarity score, not green and yellow squares.
Why won't it take my word?
The English game wants a single English word, at least two letters. Super-generic filler gets blocked. Names, very rare coinages, and mixed-language guesses often bounce.
Is today's word the same for everyone? When does it change?
Yes. Everyone on the English page plays the same daily puzzle. It rolls over with the English game day. We do not post a clock time here.
Can I still play yesterday's puzzle?
Yes. Open Choose a date and pick any day that is already unlocked. Future dates stay greyed out.
